Me, You and the Moon
Tunga
Collegium · 2026
The exhibition Me, You and the Moon by Tunga, from the Sarina Tang Collection, marks the first presentation of this installation in Spain. Installed in the Church of San Miguel, the work enters into dialogue with a desacralized sacred space whose architecture, iconography, and memory are deeply connected to the figure of Saint Michael, traditionally understood as a mediator between worlds.
The curatorial reading takes as its symbolic matrix the central panels of the altarpiece of San Miguel, attributed to the workshop of Marcos Pinilla, also known as the Master of Arévalo, in the early 16th century. In this context, the altarpiece becomes not only a historical object, but a device for thinking about transformation, return, and symbolic permanence. Rather than offering a fixed interpretation, the project invites viewers to inhabit an unstable field of relations, where art becomes a way of connecting different temporalities, worlds, and forms of common experience.
