Enchanted
Vicente de Mello

Enchanted presents photographic series by Brazilian artist Vicente de Mello, whose work operates between the perception of reality and fictional construction. The exhibition brings together series such as Noite Americana and Bestiário, in which familiar landscapes and domestic animals are displaced from ordinary perception and reconfigured as enigmatic, almost mythical presences. Through scale, darkness, ambiguity, and carefully constructed visual tension, the artist invites viewers to suspend immediate recognition and enter a more contemplative relationship with the image.

Presented in Arévalo, the project expands this sense of enchantment into the public space through Pli selon Pli, a sound and light installation at the Mirador del Río Adaja.
