About the work

Fricções e Presente(s) is a video work constructed from the collage and superimposition of audiovisual materials taken from YouTube. Gathering clips from platform-produced videos, television news segments, interviews, documentaries, and fragments of series, the work investigates the way conservative, moralist, and violent discourses came to occupy the Brazilian public debate at the end of the 2010s.
