The series Are we still modern? (2020) is composed of five works, where inserted in the context of historical research from other demarcations, there is an urgent need to carry out historical approaches that consider frameworks in the field of sociology of art, and from the history of Brazilian modernism, I cross some references between works, sketches, and influences of masters and geographical displacements. Chess is evoked as a form associated with strategy and circulation, determining possibilities for defense and attack, as discussed in the text built for the thesis, where formative and institutional projects are debated in the light of decolonial thinking.
